Details

This is a two hours surfing instruction with insurance and surfing equipment (board, wetsuit...) included.

On this course you’ll learn the following:

  • Safety and surf etiquette in and out of the water
  • Entering the water correctly
  • Paddling and position on top of the surfboard
  • Getting through a wave
  • Sitting on the board and the standby position
  • Steering the board
  • Catching the wave
  • Taking off and riding the wave
  • Moving on the face of the wave
  • Bailing out/kicking out
  • Finishing the wave
  • What to do if you fall off
  • Return to the beach

Thanks to the slope of the seabed, the waves in Sitges and Castelldefels make for ideal surfing classes, recommendable for both adults and children (from 7 years old). At our school you’ll find people of all ages!

Important note: You must arrive at the school 15-20 minutes before the lesson starts.

You can start the course anytime you want. Once enrolled on a course we will send you an email with a calendar of days, times and places. You choose the day you want to come. It’s that easy!

You must know how to swim to go on any of the courses at the Escola Catalana de Surf. It is also advisable to be in good physical shape, which will help you take greater advantage of the course.

You can book online through this page or if you prefer you can call us on the contact phone number during office hours.

All the equipment is included in the surf lesson or course. In addition to a surf or paddle board we will provide you with a wetsuit of the right size.

In Castelldefels you can park inside the Port Ginesta marina. In Barcelona there is a parking lot in front of our premises.

Of course. You can bring your own board, wetsuit, etc.
